SRTV RPL for Australian competencies now available

In partnership with Group314, Swiftwater Rescue Technician Vehicle (SRTV®) specialists can now gain Australian competencies for swiftwater rescue.

Working with Group314, a leading Australian RTO, students who successfully complete our new proprietary Swiftwater Rescue Technician Vehicle (SRTV®) specialist course can now apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) against both the following Australian public safety national units of competency:

  • PUASAR001 Perform land based swift water and floodwater rescue and recovery.
  • PUASAR002 Undertake swiftwater and floodwater rescue and recovery.

Providing students also have HLTAID011 Provide first aid, students pay an additional fee, upload documents to be verified and undertake a short number of online activities to verify competence.

Update 18 September 2023: New Zealand domiciled students holding NZQA Unit Standard 6400 can upload proof of local first aid certification in substitution for HLTAID011. Group 314 has mapped NZQA 6400 with HLTAID011 to provide this equivalency.

Students are provided a Statement of Attainment by Group314.

Students domiciled in Australia must also provide their USI. Students domiciled outside of Australia are not required to have a USI, unless they already have one.
