A new online course on animal disaster management is now available.
Designed by international animal disaster management practitioner and researcher Steve Glassey, the five hour course provides a solid foundation on key concepts applicable to emergency service, veterinary and animal welfare practitioners.
The course “Animal Disaster Management Fundamentals” uses peer reviewed readings, recorded presentations and case studies to highlight the importance of promoting animal-inclusive disaster resilient communities. The course utilizes the new book chapter on Animal Disaster Management, which enrolled students can access in over 60 languages (accessible using our free membership plan).
Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a QR code verifiable e-certificate.
The course uses cases studies and examples of law from USA, Australia and New Zealand, making it suitable for a global audience.
Already it has had students from all over the world, with 100% saying they would recommend the course to others.
A face-face short course is also available upon request through our accredited instructors. Bulk rates are also available for groups including higher education institutes, emergency service and animal welfare organisations. Contact us for further information.
