Friday 28th Conference

These are persons who are qualified to at least "flood safety" or above, and not included in the other options. If you have members you wish to include who are at swiftwater "responder" or "technician" level, but do not want them undertaking swiftwater responder/technician level activities, include them here (this may be where an individual team member already has qualified at at higher level, but the team only operates at the "flood safety" level).

These are persons who are qualified to at least "swiftwater responder" or above, and not included in the other options. If you have members you wish to include who are at "technician" level, but do not want them undertaking technician level activities, include them here (this may be where an individual team member already has qualified at at higher level, but the team only operates at the "responder" level).

These are persons who are qualified to at least "swiftwater technician" or above, and not included in the other options.

How many official VIP observers would you like to send to the workshop?

Such as team owners/funders. A limit of 2 observers per team applies. Floodex will have its own official photographer. Public are not permitted to enter Wero during the workshop.

Pre- Event Activities

As part of potential pre-event activities, would you be interested in any of the following: If so, indicate potential numbers interested. These activities are not funded as part of Floodex and fees apply. Swiftwater Medical Specialist is delivered by RescueMed and only open to Paramedics, Doctors and Nurses. This may help teams with developing capability for accreditation and allow new members to then participate in the workshop.

Flood Worker Safety

Enter number of likely nominations. This is an blended course with 4 hours online and 4 hours practical at Vector Wero.

Swiftwater Responder

Enter number of likely nominations. This is an blended course with 8 hours online and 8 hours practical at Vector Wero.

Swiftwater Technician

Enter number of likely nominations. This is an blended course with 12 hours online and 16 hours practical at Vector Wero.

Swiftwater Medic

Enter number of likely nominations. This is only available to persons with EMT + ATP, Registered Doctors and Nurses. 4 days (including Saturday).

Swiftwater Breathing Apparatus (SWBA)

Enter number of likely nominations. This is an blended course with 2 hours online and 4 hours practical at Vector Wero. Must hold Swiftwater Technician and SCUBA diver certification with medical clearance.

Mud Rescue Operator

Enter number of likely nominations. This is two day course held in South Auckland.

I understand that this is a non-binding expression of interest for the above team to participate in Floodex 2025 workshop (29-30 November), that this information will be held/used by Public Safety Institute and/or Auckland Emergency Management for the purposes of event management. Information may also be passed to third parties where apprpriate such as to RescueMed where teams have indicated an interest in the Swiftwater Medic event. I understand that registration for the conference (Friday 28 November) is separate from this EOI and that fees apply. I understand that though the workshop has no fee to participate, any other costs arising such as travel and accommodation must be met by the team. I understand final acceptance is at the discretion of event organisers and that pre-event online learning and verification of water related certifications is required.
